Arsene Wenger: Cesc Fabregas might return against Barcelona
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hinted that the Gunners’ skipper Cesc Fabregas will be available for their upcoming clash against Barcelona but will not be part of the squad to face Sunderland.
Wenger said, “I personally hope he will be fit for next Tuesday. He has a chance to play in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 but I don't think he will be involved on Saturday against Sunderland. We go from day to day with the injury, for example two or three days ago we were thinking
he could play in part of the game on Saturday but now it looks a little bit risky. As it stands he will not be tested before Monday.”
Cesc Fabregas pulled his hamstring in Arsenal’s League victory over Stoke City recently. The Spanish midfielder helped his team for the winner against Stoke before going off in the 13th minute.
Fabregas was initially feared to be out for more than three weeks and his dream return to his boyhood club Barcelona looked almost impossible. However, his extraordinary recovery means that the skipper could be back in time for the trip to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011.
The same injury forced Cesc out of action in the first half of the season. Wenger does not want to risk his talismanic skipper ahead of the Barcelona fixture and rested him for the Carling Cup final and both FA Cup matches against Leyton Orient.

Arsene Wenger confirmed that the Dutch striker could be out of action for more than four weeks.
“It is a tear in the ligament at the back of the knee. He is out for three to four weeks. I am an optimist so I hope it will be three but it could be four. We have to make sure it is only four. I am a bit cautious as well because you can never guarantee
anything,” said the Arsenal manager.
Fabregas and van Persie were the standout performers of the Arsenal team that marked a remarkable victory over Barcelona few weeks ago.
Along with Persie, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Walcott-c34873 is also out of the Barcelona match due to an ankle sprain.
The Gunners are already without some of their key names ahead of their trip to Nou Camp and Fabregas’ return to full fitness will surely lift the hopes of Arsenal.
