Arsene Wenger admits that Arsenal’s loss to Blackburn Rovers was worse than defeat to Manchester United
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has gone on to admit that his sides loss to Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 this past weekend was way worse than his side being thumped eight goals to two by Manchester United.
The Gunners went into the game against their opponents looking to prove their worth and to prove a point, however, despite that fact the team managed to finish second best once the final whistle was blown.
Arsenal took the lead in the game after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gervinho-c14755 found the back of the net with a brilliant effort. Soon after Blackburn levelled via Yakubu. However, just before the end of the half, Arteta managed to give Arsenal another goal, which saw the Gunners go
into the half time break with a two goals to one lead.
Following the break, Arsenal went on to score two own goals and saw Yakubu score a goal from a very clear offside position. However, with all those goals standing, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marouane-Chamakh-c24294 went on to score
a third goal for the Gunners, but with very little time on their hands, Arsenal couldn’t score a fourth to take home at least one point from the game.
What made this loss all the worse, was the fact that Blackburn were dead bottom of the Premier League table and were being reported to be a club on the brink of falling apart.
Wenger has gone on to publically admit that this defeat is easily the worst loss that his side have suffered this season and that he is quite frustrated with the loss.
“I do not have the measurement of humiliation,” he told reporters.
He admitted that his side had dominated the game, but then again with them falling all over the place, there was nothing that they could do to resist the Blackburn attacks.

“There are no excuses. We dominated but in our weak moments we were not strong enough to resist.”
He then went on to admit that this loss was far more frustrating than the defeat to United and that something needed to be done, in order for the team to get back to its winning ways.

“This is not more humiliating. They are two different results. But it is more frustrating because we had the potential to win.”
It is now up to Wenger to prove his worth and try and rescue the Gunners from what seems to be a ditch that they just can’t seem to get out of.
