The Gunner’s manager has heaped praise on the Bianconeri boss for the amazing turnaround in fortunes of the Old Lady this season.
Juventus manager, Antonio Conte, has taken the Arsenal manager aback with the manner in which he has transformed Juventus.
Arsene Wenger is impressed with the tactical prowess shown by the Italian and his implementation methodology since taking over the managerial role at Juventus Stadium before the 2011/12 season.
The former Lecce midfielder was hired by the Old Lady despite his status as a relatively new-comer in coaching capacity. Conte replaced Gigi Delneri in the summers, who could not inspire Juventus to fight for the titles.
Conte’s appointment has paid-off big time for the Old Lady, as they are leading the race for Scudetto, and have one foot in the final of Coppa Italia. The Turin giants have remained unbeaten in all competitions in the ongoing season.
The Frenchman spoke of his surprise at the pace of Juve’s development, and in his interview with Tuttosport, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 manager was quoted as saying,
“Conte has worked well, really well; it’s a surprise because I thought he would need more time to adapt to Juventus and the new project.”
The Frenchman went further and insists that he was expecting Conte to face quite a few issues when starting at the Turin outfit. However, he acknowledges that the Turin boss has handled the situation very well.
“I would have expected him to encounter a few more problems in his new position. But everything's been going very well. He deals with things in an intelligent manner, starting with the choices he has made on the transfer market.”
The 42-year-old has previously managed Siena, Atalanta and Bari too.
The Old Lady remain atop of the league standings with a one-point lead over A.C Milan. Juventus are scheduled to play Bologna in their next round of matches at Stadio Dall’Ara on Sunday, February 12. Conte will demand more consistency
from his side while playing against the lowly-ranked teams in the league.
