Arsene Wenger asks Arsenal fans to trust him regarding club transfers
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 manager, Arsene Wenger has gone on to claim that he knows what the team’s fans are feeling at the moment and all that he wants them to do, is be a little more patient regarding the team’s transfer policy.
The manager has stated that he has been working hard throughout the course of the summer and hopes to make a couple of signings before the transfer window comes to an end.
Wenger also stated that he felt a little optimistic going into the coming season, mainly because he knew what the players were capable of and expected great things from them this coming season.
Wenger is quoted to have said: "We work very hard, we are non-stop working throughout the summer. I am positive because we have good quality and a style of play that is known by the players.”
The manager then used those comments to state that he was looking to add quality to the team, as opposed to quantity and this is why it is taking so long to sign the right players.
"So we want to add not quality but super quality."
The manager then admitted to the fact that he would have loved to wrap up all the team’s signings by now, but due to unforeseen circumstances, he can’t really help the situation at hand. According to the manager, the transfer procedures in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 make it
hard to wrap up transfers in an instant and this has caused some major drawbacks in the manager’s plans.
"Ideally I would have finished all [our transfer dealings by now] but it doesn't work like that," he continued.
Nonetheless, the manager ended on an optimistic high note, as he claimed to be ready to give the fans some good news, as early as next week.
"We hope to give you some good news soon. Next week, something might happen."
Arsenal have been linked with a move for a number of players, over the course of the summers. The team is in desperate need to rebuild their defence and they could also use some reinforcements in the middle. Despite that fact, the only big name signing that
the team has made so far, has been of Ivory Coast international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gervinho-c14755, who happens to be a striker.
That being said, the team had been reported to be in talks with a number of teams over the possibility of landing some defenders and creative players. Hopefully, this coming Monday, Wenger will be able to reveal the signings that the team and the fans have
been waiting for, for so long.
