Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has defended his team following their poor performances in recent weeks and has claimed that finishing in the top four would feel like winning a trophy at this point.
The Gunners went on to face AC Milan in the first leg of their Champions League clash earlier this week. At the end of the game, the North London club were beaten by four goals to nil and as a result, the team possesses a very small probability of making
it to the next round of the tournament.
Following the game to Milan, Arsenal then went on to face Sunderland in the FA Cup. Having beaten them by two goals to one earlier, the team was believed to pick up the win once again. However, that was not the case, as Sunderland went on to beat the Gunners
by two goals to nil.
As a result, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 are more than likely to end the current season without a trophy once again and this could dampen the team’s hopes of pursuing players in the future, while it could also result in a number of players walking out of the club at the end
of the season.
Despite the team falling apart at the Emirates, Wenger has gone on to try and add some sense to the chaos and believes that a top four finish would be like winning a trophy to the team.
The Gunners boss is quoted to have said: "The first trophy is to finish in the top four," he told reporters after the defeat to Sunderland. "And that's still possible. I believe finishing fourth is vital for us, so let's focus on that.”

"That we lost here is basically down to the fact that we had to give a lot in Milan on Wednesday night and then we had to travel again, and that is difficult for any team in the world. But I thought it was a good performance from us."
The manager then highlighted the fact that a number of players had constantly been missing for the North London club and this was a massive setback for the team this season.
Nonetheless, it is now going to be up to the Gunners to go on and produce some brilliant performances, in order to ensure they finish in the top four at the end of the season.
