Arsene Wenger challenges Arsenal

Arsenal's manager Arsene Wenger has gone ahead, and challenged his young Arsenal side to show him that they are the winners that he has thought of them to be, when they step on to the pitch for the rest of the season.
Arsenal's captain, Cesc Fabregas who is still missing in action and is more than likely to miss out on the upcoming match between Arsenal and Birmingham City at the Emirates, had also expressed similar concerns about the side earlier,
when he was caught telling a Spanish radio show that the Arsenal side lacked a certain winning mentality. He also said that it was high time the team got their act together and got back to lifting some silverware.
Arsenal have already suffered two back to back losses; going into this weekend’s matches, the teams that they lost to include both West Brom and Chelsea, which just goes to show when the team isn't ticking they can lose to almost
any team. However these two losses have left Arsenal seven points behind the current leaders in the Premier League, Chelsea, and have left Arsenal hanging onto the fourth spot in the league with the skin of their teeth.
Arsene Wenger however strongly feels, that the team’s poor form can easily change as long as the team manages to win one trophy, to break their trophy-less drought. The manager was reported to have said: "It can be misinterpreted.
I think everybody has a great desire to win but you get a winning mentality as well when you have won"
"As long as you have not won you are not completely certain that you can do it - but that does not mean that you lack the desire to win. This team has a great desire to win but you have to show it week in week out. This life, at
the top level today, in the best league in the world is to turn up every single game at full cylinders."
Clearly the manager is backing up his captain on his decision, to target the team and tell them to get their act together. With most of the Arsenal players making their return to the team this month, it might not be long before
the team is back to its full strength, which will only mean that Arsenal can soon be playing at the same level with which they kicked off the season. Most experts believe that if Arsenal can manage to play with the same intensity that they started the season
with, then they can potentially end the season as champions of England.
