Arsene Wenger claims Arsenal can win quadruple
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that the Gunners can win the quadruple in the on-going 2010-11 season but conceded that they will have to work their socks off in order to achieve that.
He said, “I believe we can go in every competition to the end but we can, as well, stop very quickly. It's just down to how much we believe and how much commitment we show. What I am convinced of is that we have the hunger and we have some talent, and we
are all committed to go as far as we can.”
Arsene Wenger’s men are currently battling at four fronts. The Gunners are already in the final of the Carling Cup, and will have to beat Birmingham City in order to claim their first trophy of the season.
Arsenal’s midweek win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 also increased their chances of going through to the next round of the Champions League; however, the Gunners still have to play the second leg of the fixture at Nou Camp.
The North London giants are four points behind Manchester United in the Barclays Premier League and are the only team challenging Sir Alex Ferguson’s side.
Despite being in four different competitions, Arsene Wenger has warned his team to give their best in every single match in order to keep their hopes alive of landing four trophies. But the Frenchman concedes that his team has performed extraordinarily well
and deserves to win all tournaments.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429’s performance against low ranked teams has not been very impressive in the season. The Gunners scored from a last minute penalty against Leeds United earlier in the FA Cup and suffered an away defeat at Ipswich Town. In addition, they hardly managed
a victory over Huddersfield at Emirates.
Arsenal will take on Leyton Orient in the FA Cup knockout fixture and their manager has urged them not to take any team lightly. The Gunners are favourites to triumph against the League One side which will take them to the quarter-finals of the competition.
The manager added, “Our destiny will be made by how we focus every time, how much we can mobilise our resources in every single game. We do not choose to drop a competition - that would be silly. We are hungry for success and from Wednesday night's game,
we can get a bit more belief, more certainty about how we behave.”
Arsene Wenger, who is yet to suffer a defeat against a low ranked team in the FA Cup, stated that his team is completely prepared to play against Leyton Orient.
Any sort of silverware for Arsenal in the season would break their trophy drought of six seasons.
