Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger is thoroughly disappointed with the way his side played against AC Milan and admits that his side didn’t deserve to win the game.
The Gunners travelled to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 to take on Milan, in a game that was being hailed as the biggest game of the round of sixteen.
However, following goals from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robinho-c31382 and a converted penalty from Ibrahimovic, the Gunners went on to lose by four goals to nil in a game that saw the North London club produce their worst performance of the season.
The Gunners played so poorly, that most critics went on to claim that their performance in the game against Milan was worse than the way they played against Manchester United, when they lost by eight goals to two.
In fact, we can conclude that Milan didn’t play exceptionally well, but in fact it was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 who played exceptionally poorly in the game.
Wenger seems to agree with this fact and the manager is thoroughly disappointed with the way his side played in Italy.
The Frenchman is quoted to have said: "It's very difficult to take the performance we've given tonight"
"Defeat can happen sometimes when you play well, but I felt that defensively, especially, offensively and as a unit, we were poor. We were beaten and never in the game. It's a big shock."
The manager is also quite concerned with the way his side defended in the game, since they went on to concede a massive four goals. Wenger has admitted defeat, but still claims that his side will try and do their best in the next leg.
He then went on to add: "It's a big concern because we were always in trouble with the same problems – [passes] over the top, slow reading the game, slow to respond, beaten in challenges – it was a big problem for us the whole night"
"We have to take our pain and regroup for the next game."
At the moment Arsenal need a miracle to make it to the next round of the tournament. As a result, most experts believe the manager should start focusing on a top four finish in the Premier League and see just how far he can take the team in the FA Cup.
