Arsene Wenger eager to put http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aaron-Ramsey-c3065 in action – EPL News
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 boss, Arsene Wenger, has said that he is not worried about putting Aaron Ramsey in the centre of action against Stoke on Sunday, May 8. The ground, Britannia stadium, is the same venue where the mid-fielder broke his leg in an ugly tackle with Ryan
Shawcross.
Wenger believes that the bigger worry for him is that Ramsey will be given the added responsibility of captaining http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, so quickly after recovering from his injury.
The Welsh international was on the receiving end of a rash tackle, when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Shawcross-c31996 went in hard to challenge for the ball and ended up breaking Ramsey’s leg from two places. It took the mid-fielder nine months to recover and return to full time football.
Ramsey marked his comeback to the first team, by smashing in the winner against Manchester United last week, at the Emirates Stadium.
After recovering from the horrendous injury, Ramsey was sent to spend some time at Cardiff and later at Nottingham on loan, to get his match fitness back. Wenger is of the opinion that his player should spend his time getting back to the peak of his powers
out of the spotlight, as captaining the national team may be too much of a responsibility, for the young footballer.
Wenger, said, "I am very, very happy for Aaron, but I feel the Welsh period came a bit early for him. It was a bit too much pressure on him after not being completely ready himself. At that stage, he had to focus on his own shape and all the duties of a
captain.”
The Gunners boss said that this is a time in Ramsey’s career, where some good months in the game can make or break his career. He went on to add that the Welsh player should be able to focus on his own game, rather than worrying about captaining the national
team.
Wenger, added, "It was a period where he needed more time to focus on his own performance and he was a bit too much under pressure for that. Now I feel he is nearly there."
Arsenal boss feels that his young mid-fielder has a great future ahead of him and he can grow stronger with time. Wenger added that it is important that he plays against Stoke sooner, rather than later. He said that until Ramsey plays against the same team
on the same ground where he suffered that awful injury, he will not be able to get past the mental block.
Wenger went on to say that it is one of the biggest tests mentally and physically for a player, who is just 20 years old and succumbs to such a serious injury. He feels that Ramsey has come out of that test with flying colours and the mental strength he
gained in that period will help him a great deal in growing as a player.
Arsene Wenger has had a long history of developing young talented players into world class individuals and Ramsey is another prime example of that. The Welshman came to the club as an unknown teenager and is now ready, to take the arm band for his country.
