The Arsenal manager has called on his players to hold onto their nerves in the final few matches of the Premier League season as the Gunners need to regain their form in order to hold on for a UEFA Champions League place for
next season...
After their woeful draw against Chelsea at the Emirates stadium last weekend, the Gunners are now set to take on Stoke City in their next league encounter. Stoke’s style of play will surely cause Arsenal a lot of trouble at the
Britannia stadium but that is not something that Wenger is worried about.
In the course of the competition for the fourth and the third place spot in the Premier League table, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 have gone off the boil recently and with Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur closing up on them, they need to regain
that form which saw them take the third place spot in the first place.
After playing against Stoke, Arsenal are scheduled to take on Norwich and then after that they are pencilled in to play against West Bromwich Albion in their last league match of the season. It will be interesting to see if Wenger’s
team do hold on for the third place spot as at the start of the season, many were calling on Arsenal to sack the veteran Frenchman as he had shown that he was unable to take the club forward.
He said, "We are still in the driving seat but of course we have to win our next three games. It is not all negative because we played against a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 team who decided to lock the game and try to catch us on the break. We lacked
a bit of spontaneous change of pace in our passing and could not open them up enough.”
He added, "My players have shown a lot of character, but we lacked just a bit of what is usually our strength, which is the speed of our passing to open teams up with our combination play. I just felt we were a bit nervous because
we knew we could not afford to lose the game.  We didn't pass the ball quickly enough. Chelsea are experienced enough to force you to play the ball where they want you to play it.”
