Arsene Wenger expects Arsenal to bounce back from humiliating defeat – Premier League Update
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has gone on to urge his team to bounce back harder and higher than before, after suffering another humiliating defeat this past weekend.

a crushing eight goals to two defeat to Manchester United. Despite that fact, Wenger feels that the defeat to Blackburn is a lot worse, considering the Gunners were the firm favourites going into the game.
The manager has gone on to reveal that he is more than happy with the team’s offensive line up, but feels that the team’s defenders really need to step their game up, otherwise it might be impossible for the club to salvage their season.
"It is very important"
"Our season depends now on how well we respond to this disappointment and how quickly we can cut out the mistakes we made on Saturday by giving away goals that we should never give away.”
When asked about just what was causing his defenders to fall apart, Wenger went on to reply by stating that it was a mixture of a number of problems that the team was suffering at the back.
The manager then went on to add: "A lack of concentration, a lack of communication, a lack of coordination and individual urgency”
Wenger then admitted that scoring own goals is never something that can’t be avoided, as a result, his team don’t have a lot of excuses to compensate for their defeat.
"When you score an own goal, you have to look at yourself. It is never completely out of your reach where you have no chance at all. All the rest, you have to look at yourself.”
Wenger then ended by admitted that the loss to Blackburn is quite disappointing and frustrating and it feels like the Gunners gave all three points away, because victory was well within the team’s reach.
Arsenal really need to come back strong from their latest defeat. The team seems to be all over the place and should they not be able to get their act together, then they could suffer another humiliating season, which could be the worst they have gone through
during Wenger’s reign.
The Gunners will now be looking to try and redeem themselves in the League Cup, as they play host to Shrewsbury Town, later on tonight.
