Arsene Wenger flabbergasted at Chelsea's overspending
Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger has slammed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 after the Blues spent £76.5 million to sign Liverpool attacker Fernando Torres and Benifica defender David Luiz.
Chelsea was the most active club during the transfer window deadline, as they spent over £70m to sign two players. This came as a surprise to everyone, especially since Chelsea Boss Roman Abramovich claimed to support UEFA's Policy of Financial Fair Play.
While commenting on the matter, Arsene Wenger said, “Chelsea supported UEFA's financial fair-play proposals but in the morning they announced a £70m loss and in the afternoon they buy £75m worth of players. Where's the logic in that?”
The Frenchman said that it’s hard to guess what was going on in the club, as officially Chelsea supported UEFA fair play rules.
Wenger added, "Abramovich was a bit in no man's land where nobody could guess if he wanted to still invest or not. He has been like that for a long time but that has changed.”
Arsenal Manager also predicted that the Russian owner will surely spend in the next transfer window in order to bolster his current squad. According to Wenger, Abramovich was back to full investment.

It was Chelsea’s biggest spending on a single day, since Abramovich took over the London club. Chelsea are currently placed fourth with 10 points behind the league leaders Manchester United. The addition of Torres and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Luiz-c10542 to the squad will greatly
help in bringing Chelsea’s Premier League title defence back on track.
Moreover, the European governing body, UEFA has also taken notice of Chelsea’s high spending on the deadline day.
UEFA, who will introduce financial fair play rule at the end of this month, announced earlier that the clubs should balance their books before spending money for signing new players.
