Arsene Wenger hints at January signings for Arsenal
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 manager Arsene Wenger has gone on to  hint that his side could be looking to sign a player or two in the January transfer window.
However, the manager still maintains his stance over the fact that he won’t be brining in any unnecessary players, since he would only be looking to invest in useful signings.
The manager has focused most of his managerial career in trying to sign young players and then turning them into world class players. As a result, he has never really gone overboard while spending money on players.
With the team’s rivals like Manchester United, Manchester City and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 going in the completely opposite direction, the manager feels that perhaps he could spend big in January.
The team is going to be without http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gervinho-c14755, when the duo leave for the African Cup of Nations and this is going to cause the manager to consider his options in the transfer market.
In a recent interview, the manager is quoted to have said: "We lose players like Chamakh and Gervinho to the African Cup of Nations, so hopefully touch wood we do not get any injuries to our strikers.”
He then went on to reveal that if an opportunity was to arise, he would go ahead and seize it.

"But if an opportunity turns up in that department then we will buy.

"The situation, I must say, is a bit special. Economically the whole environment has changed and people suffer more. The clubs will suffer more financially and it's much more difficult.

"Maybe we will have some opportunities because we are in a good financial situation."
However, the manager is more than likely to be looking to bring in some defensive reinforcements to compensate for the injured full backs that the team has. The likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532 and Carl Jenkinson are all injured and the
team really needs to try and bring in some in to fill in for those players.
Nonetheless, given the fact that the manager has been making some brilliant signings every time he has put his head to it, he is going to address just about everything that needs to be taken care off with his activities in the transfer market.
