Arsene Wenger hits back at Barcelona’s Xavi Hernandez – Premier League Update
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has gone on to give Barcelona midfielder, Xavi Hernandez a piece of his mind.
The Catalan midfielder went on to claim that Arsenal http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Captain-c8314, Cesc Fabregas was suffering with the Gunners and that he truly wanted to make his return to the Camp Nou. He then went on to add that the midfielder had contacted him and stated his desire to
come back to the Camp Nou and in doing so, reach the epitome of his footballing career.
Xavi is quoted to have said: "I spoke to Cesc in Ibiza and he said he was suffering because he wanted to come. It's more like, he did everything he could to come and wants to leave http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 - although he made it clear that now everything depends on the selling
club."
Arsene Wenger, is amongst a number of people who don’t seem to be amused by the player’s ramblings. The manager has gone on to label the player and his comments to be disrespectful and is quoted to have said: "It is very disrespectful, and it is not the
first time that Xavi has been disrespectful to Arsenal Football Club.
"If I found Barcelona in exactly the same position, I believe a mutual respect between the clubs should stop this kind of comment.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 seem to have developed a habit of being a rather annoying thorn in Arsenal’s side. The team has constantly been trying to find ways to get on the club’s nerves, regarding Fabregas and his move away from the Emirates.
The Catalan have already seen two bids for Fabregas get rejected by Arsenal and from the looks of things, the team is in no mood to let go of the Spanish midfielder, which is something Barcelona need to realize.
At the same time, it’s rather funny to see UEFA sit back and take no action on the actions of the Barcelona players. UEFA have been going on about how Fair Play is important and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitalô-c40903 to the modern day football, yet they seem to do nothing when Barcelona
try to go on and over power a club. This not only shows UEFA’s inconsistency, but also makes people see through their cover.
Nonetheless, despite Xavi going out and proving just how low Barcelona’s players can go, it seems more than likely that Fabregas is going to stick around the Emirates for a season or two.
The midfielder seems to be in no hurry to leave and unless some drastic changes take place in the near future, he is going to remain a Gunner.
