Arsene Wenger intent on success
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he is intent on bringing success to Arsenal and will do whatever it takes to make the glory days return.
Wenger has admitted that it has been a difficult spell in his managerial career as Arsenal has not won any silverware since 2005. However, he insists his determination is as strong as it has ever been.
"I want this team to win so much that I am giving every drop of my blood to make sure this team wins.
I want them to be successful because they deserve it, so of course it hurts when you get so close as we did on Saturday [3-2 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur] and you
do not manage to do it," Wenger said on the Sky Sports website.
Wenger has admitted that he is constantly stressing the need for his players to be on the top of their games so that Arsenal can push away at the top of the Premier League.
The problem at the moment seems to be that Arsenal is taking the pressure off sides when the team is in winning positions. It is better to humiliate a team and be sure
of the win.
"It is certainly down to something. Sometimes we are easing up in games because
maybe subconsciously we feel we need to go through the motions and sometimes there is a more subtle subconscious feeling that we have not won yet and we get a bit nervous when we have to become really concrete," he added.
There is a general feeling that the current Arsenal side is just coming through another stage of transition. Arsenal is capable of beating any other team in England and Wenger
is undoubtedly the man to lead the club to success.
Betting advice
Arsenal is still a good outside bet to win the Premier League this season despite the loss to local rivals Spurs. A better bet could be for Arsenal to win the FA Cup. Be wary
of backing Arsenal in Europe because the side has crumbled against big opponents in the recent past.
