Arsene Wenger not planning on letting Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas leave Arsenal
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 part ways with the team.
Fabregas has been linked with a move to Barcelona, for nearly three years now and it was strongly believed that this would be the season when he finally made the switch back to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, Manchester
City and Manchester United and the player was rumoured to be on the brink of pushing through for a move.
Last week, it was being rumoured that the manager had finally decided to let Fabregas leave, should http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 meet his evaluation of the player. Nasri was also going to be allowed to leave, should a team make a significant offer for him.
However, it seems like that is not the case anymore, as the manager has stated that he has every intention of keeping the dynamic duo at the club.
When Wenger was asked about the future of Nasri and Fabregas and if they would be staying at the club for another season, the manager responded by stating: “Yes, why not?"
The manager then went on to target the Nasri issue and his contract signing, as he added:
"You asked me two different questions. One, will he (Nasri) be at the club next season? I say yes.
"The second part, will he sign a new contract? I hope yes, but I'm not the only one who decides that.”
Wenger then turned his attention for Fabregas and added: "Cesc loves the club. We know the story from Barcelona goes on for years now, but hopefully we will be able to close that for ourselves to focus on the season, hopefully with Cesc Fabregas."
It seems like things just started to get a whole lot more interesting at the Emirates. Last week, it seemed like the Gunners wouldn’t have enough players with whom to start the season and now it seems like the team is going to be at its best.
The Gunners have also just gone on to confirm the capture of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gervinho-c14755 from Lille, which means the team is now going to be operating at a maximum.
It is still unclear if the team is going to make any further signings, or if anyone is going to be offloaded in the near future, as the team is more focused on their pre-season.
Nonetheless, there is bound to be a whole lot more to come from the Emirates in the near future.
