Arsene Wenger rules out move for Yoann Gourcuff in January
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yoann-Gourcuff-c37416 are rather slim at the moment.
The North London club have been linked with a move for the midfielder for a number of months, but it seems like Wenger has finally decided to pull the plug on the possibility of the move taking place.
The midfielder has not had a very sparkling career at Lyon and his stay with the French side has been plagued with injuries.
However, the midfielder is now slowly returning to full fitness and based on a number of rumours, Gourcuff is looking to part ways with Lyon.
At the same time, these rumours had most of us believe that the midfielder would be on his way to the Emirates, which is apparently the midfielder’s destination of choice.
Arsene Wenger feels that Gourcuff is going to be back to his best in a couple of weeks, but despite that fact, the manager feels that there is no need of bringing the player into the Emirates.
When talking about the Gunners midfield and the possibility of signing Gourcuff, Wenger is quoted to have said: “We have choices in midfield”

“We have Diaby and Wilshere coming back from injury so we have lots of people in there.”
The manager then went on to place some hope on the midfielder’s future, as he believes he is slowly going to edge his way back to his former best.

“However I see a positive future for Gourcuff. I think he will come back to his best level. He has been out for four or five months and what happens to him now is normal.

"He's played his first few games only on his desire and, after an injury, it's normal to have a dip.

“Between January and June will be the key moment for him but I think he will be back to his best.”
Nonetheless, with Wenger being more than happy with his midfield options and with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Abou-Diaby-c3453 set to return to the squad, the manager is more than likely to not go ahead and make a move for the French international.
However, Wenger has almost always left most people in doubt regarding his transfer policies and at this point, it might not be a hundred percent safe to claim the fact the Gourcuff would never be heading to the Emirates.
