Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger feels that his former striker Emmanuel Adebayor has made the right decision to join Real Madrid.
The Gunners’ boss thinks that the Togolese attacker was being wasted at Manchester City.
Wenger said, “Adebayor didn't play anymore, he is a talented player and it's a waste for him not to play. It is a good decision from Adebayor and a good decision from Real Madrid, in my opinion. Adebayor needs to gain confidence again and play at his best because he was going nowhere at Manchester City. Both can be winners.”

The 26-year-old scored 62 goals in 143 appearances for the Gunners.
Adebayor, who was also awarded African Player of the Year in 2008, was sold to Manchester City for £25 million in 2009.
However, the former Monaco forward failed to emulate his red-hot form at Eastlands and consequently lost his impact in the Barclays Premier League. The Togolese three times player of the year has played only 43 games for Manchester City in two seasons.
Emmanuel Adebayor was loaned out to the Spanish giants Real Madrid as a replacement for Gonzalo Higuain, who was ruled out for the rest of the season due to a back injury.
Madrid coach, Jose Mourinho previously claimed that he wanted a top class striker and Arsene Wenger thinks that Real Madrid now have one in the shape of Adebayor.
Wenger added, “They need somebody with presence, who is good in the air, who can push over the defenders. The characteristics of Adebayor are exactly what Real Madrid need. He is a nice guy. When a player doesn't do well somewhere, his character is questioned straight away.”

The former Arsenal and Manchester City player has scored twice in five matches for the Los Blancos. Adebayor, who has heavily linked with a move to Juventus during his time at Arsenal and Manchester City, has claimed that he is delighted to be at Real Madrid and wants to permanently join the Spanish giants.
