Arsene Wenger thinks Theo Walcott is a future Thierry Henry

We all know that while Arsenal were the best team in the English Premier League and while they were being called “the invincibles” for one season, they had this one striker who scored the highest number of goals for them and was always there to help the
team win games. He is the legendary French striker Thierry Henry.
The French star was simply a phenomenal figure when he performed for the North London side and he is still considered to be one of their best players in history as he broke record after record for the club. The French star found the net more than any player
for Arsenal and is definitely a player who is in “the good books” of any fan who follows the English Premier League.
Despite the fact that there were players like Ruud Van Nistelroy playing for clubs, it was Thierry Henry who simply made no mistake in scoring whenever he was in front of goal. It wasn’t the one-on-one finishing that the French striker was famous for, it
was his pace and amazing control while dribbling. Thierry Henry had “all” that was required for playing in one of the toughest leagues in the world, the English Premier League.
It was Alex Ferguson who was simply famous for winning so many titles while being the head of Manchester Untied but the French coach Arsene Wenger simply made no mistake during the season and did not lose a single game as he collected some extra ordinary
players from all around the world and helped the team win the league. Even though there were many players who were simply phenomenal for the English side, it was Thierry Henry who outshone them all and wore the captain’s armband for Arsene Wenger’s side.
Now then Tierry Henry has aged and moved on though, Arsene Wenger has started playing an English star on the right wing who is simply phenomenal because of his pace and the way he has started to score. There were many people who used to criticize Theo Walcott
because they used to call him a “runner” rather than a footballer but it is definitely true that recently he has found his way on the top and the “power sub” has started scoring goals for the North London side.
The English player can simply run his way from the right flank and with the help of “extraordinary” midfielders like Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, he gets pin point passes at his feet and by out running the full backs, he gets in front and scores goals.
Recently in a press conference, Arsene Wenger said that Theo Walcott “can” become the next Thierry Henry. The French manager said that Henry used to play on the flanks as well and he did not really expect him to score goals but after he deployed him in the
centre forward position, the French star started scoring goals even though he did not have alot of confidence in front of the goal.
By stating that the English winger can become somewhat like Henry, Arsene Wenger has sent out an outrageous comment. Henry was simply a legend for Arsenal and Theo Walcott currently is not even near what Henry was. Henry used to run past defenders and Theo
does not have the same dribbling techniques that the French striker had. The way he used to cut past defenders, and other such abilities. Theo still needs to learn and only when he does can he become a player that Arsenal “needs”.
The question is, can Theo Walcott live up to this comment? Well, not at the moment but yes there is a possibility that he might in the future. The English player is only 21 years old and Henry was 23 when he started to play phenomenal football. Now all Theo
needs to do is to learn.
