Arsene Wenger wants Arsenal to focus
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has urged his team to get their act together, as they look to take on Manchester United in the Premier League.
Wenger feels that his side has been slacking off in recent weeks and given the way the season is going, there is no room for such behaviour any more.
The manager is also furious with the fact that his side has dropped all six points in their last two games and feels that it’s now or never for the team.
When talking about the last two weeks and the coming game against United, Wenger is quoted to have said: "It is a massive opportunity [next Sunday] because you feel we have given six points away in the last two games in a way that is unbelievable. It is
time for us to wake up and be focused - we have a good opportunity to do that against Manchester United"
Arsenal took on Swansea this past weekend and despite it seeming like the Gunners could pick up the three points in the game, they went on to lose by three goals to two. This defeat came after a loss to Fulham in the Premier League and has put the Gunners
hopes of landing in the top four in jeopardy.
A very disappointed and furious Wenger then went on to add: "That's now twice - at Swansea and at Fulham - where we have given the game away"
Wenger is also concerned about the way his team is conceding goals and went on to highlight Swansea’s third goal in regards to his concerns.
"It is down to a lack of composure and the right decision-making. It is alarming because at Fulham we were 1-0 up and we lost the game. Today we came back to 2-2 and straight away we gave the third goal away. It is really a concern.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 now have a couple of days to come to terms with themselves and get their act together. The team can’t afford anymore slipups, or they could say goodbye to any and all chances of landing in the top four at the end of the season.
Nonetheless, with a number of Gunners players set to return in the next few days, the North London club are more than likely to be in a better position when they face off against United.
At the same time, Arsenal will be looking to try and go all out in the game, given their eight goals to two loss at the hands of United earlier in the season.
