Art Dzeko likely to prevail in Catterickbridge.co.uk Handicap (Div I)
Art Dzeko is tipped to win the Catterickbridge.co.uk Handicap (Div I) at Catterick in England on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. The winner of the class-6 event will walk away with a cash prize of £2,045.
A total of 10 runners will take part in the race, which is scheduled to start at 15:10 GMT. The going will be good to soft in the 7 furlong event, which will test the speed of all participants.
Following are the entries confirmed for the race: Art Dzeko, Time To Excel, Son Of May, Johnson´s Cat, My Pearl, Only A Round, Rock Canyon, Becksies, Hopes Rebellion and Ruskins View.
Although most of the runners are quite inexperienced, the bookies have decided to give pretty decent odds to Art Dzeko, who is a fierce competitor. His record in the sport is not bad at all, but he has not won any event until now, which will discourage the
punters from placing bets in his favour.
The three-year-old gelding has participated in four races until now and the best he could manage was a third place finish on a couple of occasions. He was unable to show his true skills in his first couple of outings, but bounced back strongly afterwards.
In his most recent race, the Tim Easterby’s trainee finished third overall. He was not the favourite to win that time around, but gave a tough time to his opponents. He might find things to be easier at Catterick today, which will give him a chance of winning
the race.
Art Dzeko will be partnered by David Allan, who is a seasoned jockey, but does not perform with consistency. He needs to improve his overall strike rate in order to win more bets in the future events.
Rock Canyon might manage to give a tough time to his rivals in the race today, as he is also a decent runner. He has finished third on a couple of occasions out of eight attempts and will be chasing his maiden victory today.
However, the three-year-old gelding lost some rhythm in his previous race, as he ended up seventh in it.
There is also a chance for Time To Excel, Son Of May and Johnson´s Cat to make an impression in the race at Catterick.
