Art Education..?

Question

i have a want to become more educated in art.. ive always loved art since i was a little girl and i always have this need to keep learning about things i enjoy.. BAHA not exactly algerbra.. i found great love in poetry and philosophy.. and id love to do more then just paint but have some substantial knowledge about past painters, style, eras.. everything.. my question is if anyone could offer me a site name?? a book title?? any help as to how to educate myself about art..

go to the library or local book store and check out history of modern art or whatever era you prefer
