Question:

Art Help. Unusual Perspective / Viewpoint?

I have just started a new art project, and im struggling for initial ideas.

I know once i have the ideas i wont be able to stop, but im just stuck cuz i cant think of anything.

I have chosen to base my project on "unusual viewpoint / perspective", which is quite similar to a project i have already done (this is why i may be having problems).

I can think of the basic things, like taking pictures through a glass, etc, but they seem a bit juvenile.

I would like some deeper thoughts, such as paranoia, where one person views something completely different to someone else.

Please, any ideas?

  1. you could draw a reflection in your eye or someone else's while looking at something....

have a constant that is juxtaposed with elements of constant change.

i'm not sure if that has any relivence to what your looking for but its an idea.

  2. you can take up some unusual phenomena like hibernation..phobias..hallucination..ant... gravity.. humans turning into butterflies..two humans hugging drawn in the shape of a heart n both of them making the shape n inside it..sphinx..phoenix..

or u can make everyday things seem unusual..blood in a tin of pine apple juice..a feather lyin on the floor n a heavy iron suspended in air..

or u can make nature seem unusual because it is..that way u can simplify the complex..simplicity n complexity juxtaposed.

  3. You can do what M.C. Escher did. Draw your reflection on a round Christmas ornament, but when you draw your hand holding the ornament it is a skeleton hand instead...possibly a grim reaperlike.
