  1. As the holidays coming, you can do many ways using a green constraction papers. You can make a Christmas wreath for the front door or for the wall as a decorations by using some constraction papers, glue,  scissors, and paper plates. You will need some help with the children to trace their hands for your Christmas wreath. Or cut some green triangle paper using constraction papers to make a small Christmas tree. You will need like about 5 to 7 triangle constraction papers to be glue together to make a Christmas tree. Then, you can decorate with some glitters!

  2. We are going to make wreaths out of paper plates but cutting out the inside circle and coloring rest green. You could make lots of ornaments out of paper with different shapes. A sugar cone turned upside down and frosted with green frosting and sprinkles makes a cute edible tree. We do a lot of low budget projects using paper plates, tempra paint, pipe cleaners, brown paper lunch sacks and construction paper.

  3. Create an art area that focuses on creative art such as collages. This way the children are always free to create what ever they are in the mood for, or just to experience the media available. You can ask for recyclable and other donations from parents and community. People love to donate, they just need to know what you want (towel rolls, paper, containers, gift wrap, ribbons, cards, glitter, stickers, yarn, crayons, markers, glue sticks, tape, buttons, rick rack, yarn, fabric swatches, cardboard, rubber stamps and ink pads, and so on).  Art is not about projects, it is about creating.

  4. You should check out Michael's or Joann's. They usually have wooden figures that could easily be finger painted. Construction paper or Playdoh projects are usually fun too.

  5. make home made playdough sculptures(you can't believe how much you could make for a couple of bucks), construction paper prodjects. check out your local craft store they have tons of wood ornaments you could paint. ac more or michaels.(stupid cheap). I go and get a reem of copy paper and it keeps the kids busy for hours.

  6. Parents magazine has a ton of awesome ideas for the holidays and just for any day. They show you how to make snowglobe ornaments out of pipecleaners, some glue, and those clear plastic cocktail cups. (We tried that one and my son loved it!)i think hey have an archive at their website! :)
