  1. This type of sculpture does not have its starting point in nature.  It is completely abstract and when looking at it one refers to terms like volume, line, color, texture. To get some ideas look at some examples at http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~sequin/SCULP...

    http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=...

Look particularly at this last site, where the artist (not well known) has used board cut-outs and pasted/placed them one on top of another. You could do something similar. http://www.barnhartart.com/

  2. Visit an Art museum now and let ideas nurture . Don't ask for ideas this way.

  3. Cut  bunch of geometric shapes out (triangles, squares, etc..) and put them together in a way that you feel like. You could even make it into a bust (a head), with those shapes. That would be cool.
