Art students, how do you make your design sheets more interesting?

i usually use the tools like:

1) MARKERS

2) WATER COLOR PAINT

3) RULERS

then, i design anything i can imagine.i design using photoshop too, using gradients, patterns, textures, effects and brushes. first, i draw what it shall look like using a sketching pencil. then, i start with technical artwork. i use lots of bright colours, and different patterns. i have posted several designs over the internet, and thousand enter my site practically everyday.

the photo is just another plain artwork.

Depends what kind of design sheets, but its in sketch books and things, you can transfer your images, from photocopies onto your sheets- you can find transfer liquids in any good art shop, then work over it. Or stitch into it, make it creative. I also used to love using old teabags (wet ones) or ink- you can make all kind of interesting textures, colours, or marks using various tools. Make it stand out.
