Artemis Racing hits 2012 America’s Cup World Series Match Racing Championship title
Fleet boats which participated in the 2012 America’s Cup World Series Match Racing Championship in Venice witnessed some dramatic finishes in the match racing fleet as Artemis Racing claimed the overall title with some classy sailing display in shifty and
tricky wind conditions throughout the regatta.
The Artemis Racing boat was troubled by bad weather during the event but the crew did not lose focus of their objective and were finally able to remain on top of the match racing standings with 43 points. During their regatta campaign, the Artemis Racing
team sailed in 10 races.
The weather conditions throughout the regatta were a bit tricky and shifty as the sailors had to make a quick strategy to cope with such harmful forecast. However, the Artemis Racing crew gave the best of their skills during the proceedings and finally managed
to hit the top spot.
Artemis Racing began the regatta with a couple of low finishes and it got worse in the middle of the championship where their presence was doubtful. However, the team sprang back tremendously in the last couple of days and clinched two bullets to stay on
the top with 43 points.
Meanwhile, America’s ORACLE TEAM Spithill group placed themselves on second podium finish with 38 points. On the other hand, Energy Team was able to win the fleet racing category with impressive racing.
