Artemis Racing owner Torbjorn Tornqvist happy with team’s result: 2011 Adris RC44 Cup at Rivinj
Despite a low performance in the middle of the 2011 Adris RC44 Cup, Sweden’s Artemis Racing managed to secure second place behind Team Aqua with 61 points. Artemis Racing made quite a comeback from lower positions to finish second in the overall standings.
Both, Torbjorn Tornqvist and Morgan Larson along with the other crew members have done a marvellous job during the event.
The Swedish team started the races well but they came down in the middle of the competition. However, they bounced back after the 10th race and grabbed a couple of high numbers, after which they managed to hit one of the top-three spots. The owner
of Artemis Racing RC44 boat, Torbjorn Tornqvist, is satisfied with team’s success and hopes to do well in future.
Speaking to media at the conclustion of Adris RC44 Cup, Tornqvist said, “I’m happy with today, it doesn’t get much better than that. We had a shot at the second place and to make it was the best end to a regatta you can think of. Aqua was already so far
ahead, they are so consistent. But I’m really happy with the way we handled the regatta.”
He further added, “We have our ups and downs and I know when things work for us we do very well, we've had a few regattas where we didn't do well but we have a new team and hopefully we will have the same next year so hopefully we will get a bit more consistency.”
