He then went on to admit that the Gunners were the better side in the second half, but it was their sloppy defending that allowed Swansea to get back in the game late on in the match.
"We improved a lot in the second half [against Swansea]. We had many chances to finish the game earlier, but then suddenly with one mistake they scored the first goal.”
Arteta then added: "I think we were the better team. We dominated possession better than them and created more chances. We deserved to win the game and that’s why we’re disappointed.”
Nonetheless, with the team now desperate to pick up some silverware, this upcoming replay game against Swansea is going to be crucial for the team to prove their worth and just where they stand.
