Arsenal’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mikel-Arteta-c25715 has gone on to state that he is delighted with the Gunners win over City, as it has put them in a favourable position to end the season in the top four.
The North London club took on Manchester City in the Premier League, in a game, that many believed the Manchester based club would end up winning.
However, following a rather brilliant display from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, the Gunners went on to pick up all three points from the game, after Mikel Arteta went on to score the match winner in the second half of the game.
The midfielder received the ball some thirty yards from City’s goal and then went on to take a step or two, before sending in an unstoppable swerving shot, which sailed past http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699 and nestled into the back of the net.
As a result of the win, Arsenal have now gone on to establish a two point lead over Tottenham Hotspur, despite suffering a loss to QPR last week, which saw them go level on points with their local rivals.
Arteta believes the win was a whole lot more important that people believe and the Spaniard is quoted to have said:
 “It was so important”
“Chelsea won yesterday, Newcastle haven’t really conceded in the last few games and Tottenham are still there, so it’s going to be a big fight from here until the end of the season.”
“But we knew that today was one of the more difficult ones we had until the end.”
The midfielder then went on to assess the situation involving the title race, as he claimed that based on the way things were placed, it was quite unlikely for City to go on and win the league from here on out.
Arteta added: “It was a big win because now it’s going to be really tough for them to catch Man United.”
Should Arsenal go on and maintain the form that they have shown over the last couple of weeks, it is safe to say the team is guaranteed a top four finish.
At the same time, ending the season on a high could see the team come back next season and continue from where they left off.
