Arthur Abraham Vs Kelly Pavlik, Who wins ?

Would be a great match up, the best two Middleweights on the planet at the minute, who wins and how ?

Was really surprised at how easily Abraham dispatched Miranda, but was he damaged goods after the beating he took from Kelly ?

This is clearly the most desireable fight for both boxers especially since Calzaghe made it clear that he doesn't want any part of Kelly Pavlik. Abraham has made the fight a BIG draw by taking the Miranda rematch and putting on such a good performance. Both Pavlik and Abraham have fought at the higher weight successfully now and both fighters have convincingly put away Edison Miranda a common opponent with good in ring talent and power. Both fighters are undefeated and have been watching each other for some time. I think Abraham has the edge in speed but Palik has the power and will pull out the victory by late round stoppage or majority decision.

Don't think Miranda was a shot fighter, I think AA is a bad matchup for him.

The only worry I have about Pavlik is his cornerman.  From what I've seen, he gives Kelly no advice between rounds.  He just urges Kelly on.  I think AA could confuse Pavlik in the way he goes for maximum defense, then picks a seemingly random time to explode with big punches and then quickly gets back into his defensive shell.  If Kelly needs to win this fight tactically and needs his trainer's "wisdom" during the fight, I think he could be in trouble.  

All that being said, Kelly should beat him if he knows when to work the body.

pavlik stright hands like last time out to tall to much power and come on a h**l of a lot since miranda

but arthur is no mug hard fcuker.....   but its the ghost for me.

he has a good team some fighter dont need them  chating in your ear as you khow whats going on as its you in there.

as you will khow when you get in there all the work you have done can so easy go out the window soon as the fight starts then fight for your life.

but elmar fu thats a good point and i will have a look at the cornermen next time i think they done a good with taylor tho.

abraham had with a besiegt.pavlik suggest it was defeated in round 6, abraham in round 4.

pavlik but had no defence abraham we destroy him ..........

I really like both fighters but I don't think that Abraham has been hit as hard as Pavlik can hit.  Pavlik is on a whole different level than most middleweights or super middleweights.  One thing for sure Abraham's heart, confidence, and durability will make it anything but easy on anybody he faces.  I have much respect for both of these fighters, but I pick Pavlik winning by late round stoppage.

I agree that this is THE match to be made RIGHT NOW in the middleweight division.  I don't think that Miranda was necessarily damaged goods from the beating that he took from Kelly Pavlik, but it probably helped Abraham a little for the rematch.  In all honesty, I just think that Abraham is the better fighter over Miranda and he proved that in both of their fights- he fought 8 rounds with a broken jaw in their first fight and still won, and in the second fight, he thrashed Miranda in 4 rounds.  That being said, I still think that Pavlik would beat Abraham if they ever fought.  They are 2 very strong middleweights, but I think that Pavlik edges him out in almost every area- Kelly is the harder puncher, has better handspeed, and I believe he is the overall better fighter.  Even though Abraham finished Miranda off quicker, if you look at Miranda's fight with Pavlik, you will see that Kelly inflicted MUCH more damage than Abraham did.  In Abraham's case, he caught Miranda with a good shot that Edison never really recovered from; in Kelly's case, he threw bombs at Miranda and completely LAID HIM OUT.  At least Miranda was still coherent when Abraham stopped him; when Kelly stopped him, he was in a daze with his face all busted up.  If and when Pavlik fights Abraham, I don't think that it would go the distance because they are both very hard punchers, and I envision Kelly stopping Abraham late with his hard combinations to the body and head.  If it did go the distance, then I envision, Pavlik winning by decision.

Edit: Artin G- USE SPELLCHECK.  And Abraham's defence is good, but its not as great as you think it is.  Kelly also has good defense and a much better chin than Abraham.  The reason Pavlik got knocked down by Jermain Taylor is because he foolishly stuck his chin out and taunted Taylor- ANYONE would have went down if they had done that.  Pavlik is the better fighter in almost every aspect and he will win if and when they fight each other.

What a barn burner this one would be both guys can hit like wrecking balls take punches and they abandon defense as the fight goes on ,tough one to call but I have to go for Pavlik by KO in the late rounds.

It should be a good fight. Both can punch, both are agressive.

The difference for me would be that Abraham has a better chin than Pavlik, he also has better defence, and is more experienced, hes faced much better opposition generally. Apart from Taylor and Miranda(who is a decent contender rather than a great fighter), Pavlik hasnt fought anyone.

The Middleweight division actually isnt that strong at present, i agree these two are the best, but i think Abraham's superior experience, boxing skills, chin and punch will win out.

For sure Kelly would win. Kelly is the best middle wieght fighter right now in the US no question at all. I would really rather watch a Kelly Pavlik vs. Joe Calzaghe.  I think Joe Calzaghe is an amazing fighter and would beat Kelly.  When Kelly fought his last fight against Garry Lockett, Lockett's trainer is Calzaghe's dad Enzo Calzaghe. Enzo was talking a lot of smack saying that Joe is the best fighter in the world and would beat Kelly. So there might be that fight which im looking forward to. Back to the question though, Kelly would work Arthur no doubt. I really don't think Edison is that great of a fighter so im not that impressed with what Arthur did to him. Also Kelly gave him 10X worse beating.

Cotto Mayweather was the fight i wanted to see.........until floyd retired...........this is the fight i really want to see now.........im not really sure who will win.....i will pick pavlik by split decision...im a big fan of both fighters. This fight has to happen!!

i didnt see much from abraham ,except he has a big punch. skill wise he looked awkward and a bit slow.i dont think pavlik would not have much trouble beating him. if he waits to counter punch pavlik ,he will be waiting all night.pavliks punches keep coming and kelly wont stop to give him chances to fire back.
