The Ivorian has signed a one-year contract with Die Roten and will stay at the club until the end of the season.

of a further one year stay depending on appearances made.
Club sporting director Fredi Bobic expressed his delight on the player’s decision to accept the offer. He hailed the defender for his commitment to the club and admitted that the player has been a vital part of the successful side
last season.
Bobic added that Boka is a player with vast international experience which will certainly help the younger players in the team in the future. He admitted that the Ivorian has the quality and the pace to ply his trade in the Bundesliga
and feels that the team can go a long way if they keep their key players.
“We are delighted that Arthur has accepted our offer of a contract and showed his continued commitment to VfB. Arthur is an international player who will do our team good with is quality and also his personality,” he was quoted
as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Boka is overjoyed with the stay and stated that he had no qualms in making the decision. The player admitted that he is happy at the club and had no intentions of leaving for any other side in the summer transfer
window.
“I have always stressed that I feel very happy at VfB and I am therefore very happy to be able to extend my contract here,” the African added.

The former RC Strasbourg man has an impressive 67 appearances for the Ivory Coast national team and has found the net on one occasion.
