Suddenly my A710, which has always worked splendidly, is producing images with fine colored horizontal streaks. Sometimes they are red, other times blue.
The camera was dropped, but worked fine for a while after that. The artifacts didn't show up until I had taken about 25-30 images in a single shooting session. However, they are still appearing in images, even after having turned the camera off for more than 24 hours.
Is there a simple test I can perform to tell if the camera has been damaged and will need to be replaced?
