  1. I do think the Tennis schedule expects too much of the players.

Travelling, change of diet and climate, not to mention injuries.

Could make for a shorter career.

However the financial rewards are very large now - so Tennis Pros's can retire sooner.

Nowadays they earn as much in one tournament as they did in career 20 years ago.

I really can't say I thought Rafa wasn't 'all there' his plays was dynamic and magical - regardless of his blisters.

The blisters seem to be caused by his small grip, rather than too much match play.

  2. Hey, Rafa was all over the place...Novak was tired mentally from the beatings he's getting from Rafa and Rafa's blistered fingers did not matter in his win and now they have a few days rest...they get paid for the schedule they keep...

  3. Well, i think both players gave it all they've got during the finals judging by the score...

Their pretty much on the same footing because they both have disadvantages as u already mentioned...

And yea, they had to make the tennis schedule as it is this year because of freakin olympics... If I'm not mistaken Rafael's been complaining about that especially how they squished the clay court season...

But I think Rafael's going to be fine for Wimbledon since he went back to Mallorca for three days to have a little rest... I'm just not sure how long blistered hands heal though...

  4. Rafa rocks.
