Arts, pathway into teaching question N.S.W?

I'm interested in doing a bachelor of arts and then master of teaching. As the guide states that the master of teaching component is in addition to the bachelor of arts which gives you automatic acceptance, why then does my UAC guide have bachelor of arts and also bachelor of arts pathway into teaching rather than just bachelor of arts course and another seperate course code for postgraduates for master of teaching.

I hope that wansn't confusing

  1. um.... yeah. sorry the best ppl to ask for that would be the newcastle UNI i reckon

  2. not sure, maybe one is just plain arts and one is arts with a view to being a teacher later on (eg. it might make you do any pre-requisites for the postgrad master of teaching).  why do you want to go into teaching?  people I know regret that decision. it is a lot of work (long hours and weekends - and "holidays" are spent doing a lot of work too). and the pay is not very good (and tends to peak after a few years, whereas in other professions your pay keeps rising with experience). only do it if you really like helping kids (even if they aren't grateful for your help!)
