Arts and crafts ideas from the 1970's?

This summer I am teaching a class for children in the 3rd-6th grades. It is designed to be a kind of fun "reward" for kids who have worked hard all school year to do their best. This year we thought it would be fun to do a 70's theme. We plan on teaching the kids some of the important things that happened in the 70's but mainly it is going to revolve around the fads and fashions...any ideas on some arts and craft projects that pertain to that time?

  1. Don't forget having 70's music playing in the background or even teach them a song that was popular at that time

For some reason, my friends often present me with craft books which are full of lovely projects to try, and I also get lots of ideas from old 1970's craft books, picked up at charity shops and jumble sales or sold off by libraries; sometimes the ideas are hopelessly dated but others just need looking at in a new light to bring them up to date

  3. Get the sand art or tie-dye craft kits at Oriental Trading......
