She suffered with ulcer in her left eye and it was quite alarming for her professional career as a badminton player. However, it was a huge sigh of relief for her as now there is nothing to be worried about as she is getting normal.
Arundhati, who has been placed at number 62 in Women’s Singles world rankings, could not participate in the last week’s Uber Cup Preliminary Round, in Macau, because of her eye problem.
Nevertheless, Arundhati has helped her Taby Club to win the quarter-final contest in the first leg of Swedish Premier Badminton League on Monday, February 20 indicating that she is almost fine now.

Then she played in the Women’s Doubles with her partner Karolina Kotte and won against Matilda Nygren Strandberg and Jennie Carlsson in a thrilling rubber-set fight.
Arundhati said, "It was good to be back on the court again. After a long time, I was playing singles. The starting was a pretty slow but as the match progresses I gradually got the feel of the situation and played OK."
It took her almost two months to get rid of her eye ailment which stopped her from participating in important national and international tournaments.
However, she is recovering fast and will take a couple of weeks to become perfectly fit.
She said, "I am slowly but surely coming back to normal life. My vision is more or less clear now and in a couple of weeks' time I will be absolutely perfect."
