Aryan race?

So I've been learning about the holocaust in school and my teacher keeps mentioning Hitler's perfect race as the Aryan race all i know is it was the Germans who followed Hitler and had blond hair and light eyes, but she also mentioned how all schools had diagrams of the facial features, what were these features?
