As Muslims, do we believe in the second coming of Prophet Isa?

Where in The Quran says about the second coming of Prophet Isa?

I noticed some scholars are not unanimous with this?

Sorry, I'm new to this, and very doubtful about it..

I know this isn't the best place to find answers, but can i have your opinions on this? Since most Muslims are here.

Thanks.

(And I know there will be some hateful/sarcasm remarks, just to make a "statement")

  1. I do not believe that Isaa will be coming back.

In the Quran there is NO SUCH mentioning.

It seems that the primitive translators and the Hadith followers generated this fabrication for the following reasons:

1-  As per 3:185, every soul has to taste death.

2-  As per 4:157, they failed to crucify him. Instead they were made to think like that.

3-  Also as per 3:55, it is MISTRANSLATED to that God raised Jesus alive.

Now since the people MISTRANSLATED the verse to raising of the Jesus as Alive. And as per 3:185, every person is to die. Also, there were many fabrications of Jews and Christians of a Messiah coming. Therefore, perhaps, to conclude the puzzle, they too fabricated that Jesus will be coming back.

  2. there are many authentic hadithes that talks about the second coming of Jesus PBUH. like this one in Sahih Muslim:

    Book 41, Number 6931:

Hudhaifa b. Usaid Ghifari reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the Companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not cone until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog and Magog, and land-slidings in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly.

  4. I don't beleive he is coming back .

    sorry peeps

  5. prophet isa (jesus) would be coming back

  6. Actually, it's not just about the Quran. Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) declared:

" O people! I am leaving between u two things. U will not lose the right path as long as u hold fast to these two. They are :the Quran and my Sunnah"

So, Muslims consult the Quran and His Sunnah (what He P.B.U.H said, what He P.B.U.H did, and what He P.B.U.H silently approved of) to understand this. For example, the Quran tells u to pray, but it doesn't tell u how to do it. U have to consult the hadith (Sunnah) for that.

There are Muslims who take it that only the Quran is to be considered. Not the Sunnah. But the majority of the people believe that Muhammad (P.B.U.H) was our role model, and we must follow His ways, as the Quran repeatedly says :”Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (P.B.U.H).” We obey Allah through the Quran and (Sunnah) hadith. The hadith leads to obey the Messenger (P.B.U.H).

. Here is what He (P.B.U.H) mentions about the coming of Jesus (A.S):

By Him Whose Hand is my life, the son of Mary (Jesus) will certainly invoke the name of God for Hajj or for Umrah, or for both, in the valley of Rawha. (Sahih Muslim)

"It [the Day of Judgment] will not come until you see ten signs," and [in this connection] he mentioned the smoke, the Dajjal, the Beast, the rising of the Sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary… (Sahih Muslim)

By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, son of Mary [Jesus] will shortly descend amongst you people as a just ruler. (Sahih al-Bukhari)

Jesus son of Mary would then descend and their [Muslims']

commander will invite him to come and lead them in prayer, but he would say: No, some amongst you are commanders over some [amongst you]. This is the honor from God for this Ummah [nation]. (Sahih Muslim)

How will you be when the some of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you and he will judge people by the Law of the Qur'an? (Sahih al-Bukhari)

  7. Yeah prophet Isa will come back near the day of judgement.

When dijal will try to misguide us and come with an army or 70,000 non-believers, there will be a war and Prophet Isa will kill Dajjal at the Gate of Hudd. It is Hadhrat Isa and Imam Mahdi who will protect the Muslims from the Dijal etc. Hadhrat Isa will lead salaat, he will act himself and instruct others of the Quran and Hadith. He will stay on earth for a period of 40 years after descending. After the dijal is killed there will be no war and there will be peace for the lifetime of Isa.

Hadhrat Isa will have a revelation that tells that the Yajooj and Majooj (Gog Magog) will soon be released and the believers should be taken to Mt. Toor (Sinai). The Yajooj and Majooj surge forth in large numbers. They destroy everything in their path in their effort to conquer the world. They will be released in two groups. Hadhrat Isa and the muslims will pray for the removal of the clamity, and their prayers will be answered. there will be peace, Isa will live for 19 years after his marriage and when he dies, he will be burried next to Muhammed (salAllahu alayhi wasalam).

Isa will lead the true believers to victory in the battle against untruth and evil and that he will destroy all the negative forces on earth and that all who misguide people in God’s name will be destroyed (false gurus & prophets).

Those who will save the Deen of Islam by associating themselves with Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will be amongst the most loved by Allah Ta'ala.

In a Hadith, Rasulullah said " Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) is not dead, he will most surely return to you before Qiyamat (the Day of Judgement)."

They slew him not, nor did they crucify him but it was made dubious to them.

(Holy Qur'an, Surah Nisaa, Verse 157)

Qur'an 75.6-10: He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" At length, when the sight is dazed and the moon is buried in darkness, and the sun and moon are joined together that Day will Man say; "Where is the refuge?"

Qur'an 75.16-19: Move not thy tongue concerning the (Revelation of Al-Qiyamah), to make haste therewith. It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital: Nay more, it is for Us to explain it.

Qur'an 75.22-24: Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty) — Looking towards their Lord; And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal.

Qur'an 50.45: We know best what they say; And thou are not one to overawe them by force. So admonish with the Qur’an such as fear My Warning!

Qur'an 11.102-7: In that is a Sign for those who fear the penalty of the Hereafter: that is a Day for which mankind will be gathered together: that will be a Day of Testimony. Nor shall We delay it but for a term appointed.

Qur'an 50.41-2: And listen for the Day when the Caller will call out from a place quite near. The Day when they will hear a (mighty) Blast in Truth: That will be the Day of Resurrection.

Qur'an 7.30: He will return you (on the Day of Judgment) reverted back to when you were first created. A section guided, and a section will go astray.

Qur'an 43.61: And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment: therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way
