  1. I'm 14 and as teens, we choose our friends carefully, and that wet towel thing was funny. There's nothing wrong with our friends unless they take drugs or do harmful things.

  2. I had an issue with a number of my stepdaughters friends. They were really rude and disrespectful. As we don't have her all the time, we avoided having those friends over. The problem was, they were a bad influence on her. They actually grew out of it over time and are pretty nice kids now.

  3. Yes, I have - fortunately my son quickly decided he did not like the boy either.

They are both 15 and this kid was so rude to me - making sexual comments and even threw his wet towel at me after a water fight in our back yard - he thought he was being funny.

  4. Yes, my son is 9 and most of his friends I have like but some I have not. I have learned to just stay out of it though because at 9 years old they are friends one day and the next they are not, and then they are again. Who has time to keep up with it all.

  5. Sad to say, but yes. when my son's best friend came to spend the night, he brought some pot, I quicky made him leave & told him to never come back. Then I explained to my son the seriousness of what his friend was doing, my son doesn't live with me anymore, he's 20 now

& on his own. what he does in his own house is his business, but what

goes on in my house is my business, & that just is not happening.

  6. Nope, I can't say I've ever disliked any of my kids' friends.  I have been disappointed in a few of them on occasion... and yeah, a couple of them can get on my nerves sometimes... but I don't dislike any of them.

Now, my kids do have some acquaintances and classmates that I definitely dislike.  But fortunately, my kids aren't really friends with them.

  7. well im no parnet

    im 17

and my best friend when i was 13 her name was erin

she would always start trouble when she came over

    and my mom hated her.

    she was a snobb

  8. well, I am not a parent, but I think as long as the kid your child is hanging out with is respectful and honest, nobody has the right to choose the kid's friends but the kid. A personal dislike is just too bad. that may sound harsh but still.... I hope this helps!

  9. Yes, and unfortunately this child lives next door to us, so we have to put up with her all the time. She's only 9, but she is the most smart mouthed, manipulative, lying, whining little brat I've ever come across. I try to keep my happy, sweet natured daughter away from her as much as possible but unless we move, this other kid's nasty behavior is rubbing off on my girl.
