  1. Yes, as long as you know it is fake, and that you shouldn't do the stuff in real life.

  2. depends how old and mature you are

  3. yes

  4. Watch what you doin, some games against the lord.

  5. ....Yes...

I've played a rated like R one before its ohkay as long

as you dont go off and repeate what ever the game said.

  6. yes, God created free will

  7. It is upto you.

If I say NO...will you stop it right now?

  8. .. yes

  9. As long as you have an endless supply of snacks and a double wide sofa its ok.

  10. You being a christian should remember that god forgives. With this being true go and do as you please. Rack up those sins and just when you think the Devil has a firm grip on your soul, hit up the church confessional. Make it juicy, remember that your priest/pastor need some excitement in their lives too. God bless you.

  11. I guess so, they're just games.

Of course, you could always ask yourself " Would Jesus play this game?" Also, a game is not always rated "M" because of it's content or language. Many times, a games esrb rating is based on the difficulty of the game.

Edit: A game may have blood and gore  and be rated "M". Yet, we bleed... I think as long as you acknowledge it as just a game, don't put it over God, and obey the age restriction laws, you're ok.

  12. Well, there's nothing about it in the bible, so I guess you're OK.

  13. If you meet the age requirements, sure. Should someone allow playing a video game to be the central focus of their life? No

  14. I don't know if this should have much of a religion conitation... I guess if you are too young than probably not.  That is the entire reason that video games have ratings in the first place... http://www.esrb.org/index-js.jsp

Mature is ment for 17 and older, so if your 8 I don't think you should be playing games.  If my son were 14 I would allow it.  You just have to be responsible for your actions.  You can't blame TV or Video games for negative influences, because as a person you should know better.

  15. Is this a joke? People don't do things less because you tell them not to. It's the exact opposite. You create an aphrodisiac out of it, just like priests and homosexuality. Embrace your demon, or your demon will embrace You.

  16. As a Christian? How about as a consumer? I find it very strange that a "game" something that is supposed to be fun...has a "maturity rating"??!!

whatever the game is I am not interested....

have problems with my hands and we have a ps1 or whatever it is, and it just sits there...perhaps during the winter rain will give it a go again...

  17. As a diehard, hardcore, smoking hot christian i say NO, do not plays those blasphemous, corrupted video games, except for GTA VI, that game is sooooo sweet

  18. Depends how dedicated you are to your religion

  19. thats what she said

  20. NOOOOOOO!!!!!

You'll get struck by lightning lmao

  21. a game is a game unless you're some r****d who beat people IRL because you lost some online battle.

  22. In my personal opinion, no I don't think it's ok especially if they spend a high amount of time doing so. It can and does have an adverse effect on ones thought patterns. I'm speaking from experience. I use to play videos games for hours on end and eventually, that's all I could think of. I wasn't able to concentrate on anything that was important like prayer, Bible reading, etc. All I could think about was bettering my previous score and to fall back into this make believe world where the problems of this world no longer mattered. Obviously not all people are this involved in video games but the chance of that happening is always there. Not to mention the fact that M rated videos are not appropriate for any Christian of any age group. We are to abstain from all appearance of evil.

1 Thessalonians 5:21-22   "But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; 22 abstain from every form of evil."

  23. Hello,

Great question. I don't play video games as much anymore, so I forget what the rating M is, but I assume it means Mature content.

I don't think there is anything wrong with playing a video game. But I think you should limit crazy types of games, and I will add that if the game has any nudity or extreme cursing I probably would avoid it personally.

The reason is that our minds are like a sponge, and no matter what we do, we can't help to pick up on things we are around. Go hang out with a bunch of people that curse every other word for weeks, and you are highly likely to start using those same words. Habits are contagious, just like a common cold. People pick up habits unconsciously, even if they don't like the habit.

So I don't think it is necessarily a sin or wrong to play a video game that has some mature elements (again, I would completely avoid these pornography type games, or heavy cursing).  I would avoidd those type of games simply for the fact that you are really going to invite bad influential things into your life, when there are tons of other ways to entertain yourself (or other really fun games), that won't invite such negativity into your life.

But if the game just has a bit of mature type content here and there, I don't see anything wrong with playing it occasionally for entertainment.

Great question by the way, and have a great day!

  24. video games rated m or r are ok to play as christian or not, as long as you don't take it or your maybe frustration outside

  25. Of course. Sin is defined as an overindulgence. If it doesn't interfere with your relationship with god you should be alright. If you start fantasizing about doing evil things , you may want to cut back on the "M" stuff.

  26. Yes.

    Not everyone is a saint.

  27. I am exploring higher ratings... like X.. so I skip an answer to this one...
