Phil Jackson NEVER missed a playoffs ..... Phil was retired when Lakers missed a playoffs

Question is simple was Phil better than other because he had MJ and Pippen then Shaq and Kobe ...

Is that hard to understand ? or YOU always like to Compare MJ and Kobe so you make all the question into MJ VS KOBE ?

Let's look at the other Great Coaches

Red Auerbach- He had Bill Russel , Bill Sharman ,Bob Cousy

Rat Riley - He had Kareem , Magic , Worthy then Shaq and Wade

Greg Popovich - He had Robinson , Duncan , Parker and Manu

John Kundla - He had George Mikan -The Orginal Great Center plus it was in 50's and NBA wasn't that big so yea

Bill Russel - ... Well he had himself so yea .. =)

And Reb Auebarch hypocrite .. WHY ? because he said Phil only won 9 rings because he had talented player ... lol lol lol ... it's not like He didn't have arguably Greatest Center and Great point guard at the time when he won 9 rings

Well i think Phills the best ever!!Sure he had great players ,but the same players could not win until Phill got there.

He was better with MJ because when Kobe was younger, Phil used him as an "excuse" or the "reason we lost". Basically both duos are the same. Both having the 2 of the best players in the NBA at the time. Phil Jackson basically taught Kobe and MJ how to pass.

The coach I'm really impressed with is Larry Brown. He turned the Pistons into a championship team. They have so many all stars, but honestly they would have never been good without him.

Horribly overrated coach.   A monkey could win with Jordan , Pippen and the gang.

And then he went to LA and got Shaq and Kobe.

Where was LA when Shaq left and Phil was still the coach?  

Not even in the playoffs.   I rest my case.

Although I'll give him some credit for revamping the triangle offense.
