As a Malaysian, what document do I need to marry Italian?

I'm studiyng in UK at the moment with student visa. I want to know what document I need to marry Italian? How long this going to take? Do I need to go back to Malaysia for all the documents? Does my fiance need to give any documnetation to Malaysia embazzy? Where can I find all information I want?

What documents do you have and what country do you want to marry in? Once you know what country you want to marry in then you need to talk to the embassy in question and ask their rules. If you want to live in Italy it's only 6 months until you can naturalize via marriage and you will need to talk to the Italian embassy and ask them what other requirements you need to met.

At the very least you will need a letter stating that you are single/widowed and not currently married, you may be able to get that from the Malaysian embassy. But to marry in the UK you need a marriage visa and you won't be able to get that in the UK. You'll need to be in Malaysia for it.

Luck, lots of it, to prove that you are not trying to get citizenship by marrying a national. I doubt if it will work, the italians are not so soft as the U.K. when it comes to issuing permits. Try contacting the Italian embassy first, it may save you a lot of time,and the answer off them will be a lot more reliable than what you will find on this forum.

the post above is so right  trying to get any kind of visa to enter Italy  is very hard    it gets scrutinised over  and over  in your case  as stated  contact the italian consulate or embassy  to give you an example my wife  whom is chinese  I of italian birth   but US Citizen  tried to get my wife a 20 day visa,   wife  doctor,   money in the bank  i am  a pilot,  visa was turned dowm    for my wife
