  1. Not sure about the ages of the kids. You will find a kit of books, coloring papers, craft paper, crayons, etc handy to keep nearby. Depends a bit on the ages of the kids too. Some kids like something and others something else. Some little kids need a nap and you may find it necessary to keep the older one/s occupied and quiet for that time. Dont know if you have an indoors /outdoors situation. Kid may enjoy a little time playing in the sand or something.. All the best, I am sure you will do well since you are already planning ahead.

  2. If you don't know how to handle little children then you really shouldn't be babysitting until you gain some responsilbity, maturity and learn something about little children.

  3. Be patient, keep them busy, be caring, NEVER touch a kid in anger!!

  4. Establish the rules from day one and make it clear that YOU are in charge by using a firm voice when you don't want the kids to do something. When I first started working with little kids, I used to talk to them in a baby voice as if we were equals. Now I understand how to put force in my voice and give it a "I'm not playing around" tone.

ALSO, don't let them get away with anything the first time you babysit them. Once they realize you aren't a push over, they won't push the limits anymore. It's going to be exhusting, but you can do it!
