As a child my sister use to make me a finger painting paste out of Ivory snow does anyone else remember doing?

heres the recipe if you dont have it...

3 C Vano Starch; 1 C Ivory Snow Soap Flakes; Powdered Tempera

Mix starch and soap under medium heat till it boils. Add tempera

I had a first grade teacher who would do that. Brought in boxes of that Ivory Snow Flakes Soap. Mixed in some dry dyes or something and added something else. Warmed it up on the stove we had in the room.

yeah i used that when i was little, my grandma used to make it for me, those were  the good old days

nope but i did find a recipe for it

i loved the lady who babysat me she always had fresh hankies (allergy kid) and to this day I like to eat canned chicken noodle soup with peanut butter sandwiches because of her.
