I work in the nursery of a childcare centre. I have a 1 year old who cries all day...she wants to be cuddled and held all the time which is impossible with 7 other children. She is like this at home too. Any suggestions?

  1. separating anxiety

  2. This is natural for many children who are one year old.  Possibly, she has issues at home, and feel unloved; or, alternatively, that just might be her personality.

Try to get another childcare person in there with you, or find a special toy or friend for her to latch onto.

Talk to her parents, or just try to wait it out.  In my experience they usually grow out of that stage by 18 months.

If you simply can't deal with it, suggest she be moved to another daycare.

  3. i would give her a hug every now and then, assure her that im her but DO NOT  pick her up all the time that is not good at all and  give it some time and she will stop
