As a college student male is it okay to have a female apartment roomate?

I am a college student who just transfered to Purdue University in West lafayette Indiana and I am doing a roommate match up service through an off campus apartment complex because it is $5000 a year cheaper than living in a dorm room on campus. Through this roommate match up service i have been placed with a guy and a girl roommate and then we still need one more roommate because it is a four bedroom. My question is: Is it okay for a male to room with a female when we do not even know each other? I am personally fine with it, but I am not sure if there can be any problems that could arise out of this situation that I should request to be removed and re matched? Any feedback on this would be helpful... thank you all

I'm 56 as of yesterday, I went to Henderson

State University a long time ago.

At the time property rental of large Old homes really close to campus was super cheap.

We got five Guys and Four Girls to room in the house over the course of the next four years we had to replace one guy and seven different girls.

Study hours were observed and weekends were P_A_R_T_Y till 6pm Sunday everyone according to their classes had chores and the chores with common study hours were our highest considerations for roommates.

We wanted every chore including cooking done on a daily basis we had common meals, breakfast everyday and three days a week supper.  And two lunches.

It is best to say Our mothers had spoiled us silly and we desired the same surroundings for our College years.

And every one worked at least 15 hours somewhere around town, in our chosen fields or as close as we could come to our chosen field.

Summers the house was kept for The summer school students augmented by other Students from houses that had dismantled for the summer.

the Idea was to meet other students that also had a house.

Our plan worked.

Thought this experience might help.

We voted on everything, and kept track on the fridge door and the 10:30 pm gatherings.
