  1. If you're talking on the phone, yes. It's proper to answer the phone that way. And when you get ready to end the call, thank them for calling and wish them a great day.


  2. I agree. This is the proper way to answer the phone in almost any business situation.  You can also just answer with the company name and state your name and end it there.
