  1. I'm gonna say the 12r..Want one myself..Many will say thats not a bike (as you've seen before me)for a beginner..But i say..If you take your time and not rush things you'll be fine..Use common since when riding and don't try to over ride your skill level and you'll be fine..I know riders that started out riding busa's and still riding same bikes today..

  2. I would go with the zx12r...But i have been riding for a while. Do you really think you should jump right up with the big bikes? Most people start out with a 500 or 600.

  3. None of them. If you have no motorcycle riding experience, you have no business riding any of those bikes.

    1) Take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation course

    2) Start small.

Start on a Ninja 500R or a SV 650 or Honda Shadow

  4. theyr not good as first motorcycle, unless you have a deathwish.

  5. get a 250 or 500 or at the biggest a 650 for a first bike

you could also try a supermotard style bike

those  bikes you mentioned are awfully heavy and powerful for a first bike

  6. Any of these bikes would be great to have, but I think you probably ought to start with something smaller.  If you are stuck on getting one of these above bikes, I would go with the Kawasaki.  Please do evryone a favor though, take a riders course with whatever bike you decide.

  7. i would get the ducati 999

  8. pick any, just please put me in your will.

  9. Those are way too big to learn on enless you have had previously rode a motorcycle for at least a few years.

  10. refer to arus.geo's answer.

  11. The BMW and Kawasaki are BIG HUGE motorcycles, very heavy.

The Ducati is twitchy and idiosyncratic like a thoroughbred racehorse.  It is just not made for beginners.  It is not forgiving.

I'm not saying you can't learn on them, but keep a couple of thousand extra in your budget to replace clutches, replace plastic body panels after your drop it, etc.

  12. Definitely take the course and save yourself some grief. Why crash your own bike when you can crash theirs and walk away. Get that 1st drop out of the way.

If you are mature enough it would be ok to start with a big bike. if you can't control yourself and will race everything that pulls up next to you, go with a 600 or smaller bike so that you'll live long enough to enjoy riding.
