  1. Your children will get health benefits. Although it differs from province to province, there may be some restrictions due to pre-existing diseases. I know that this true, because I've known families where one individual holds a work permit who have received these benefits. But try as I might, I cannot find the government website that concretely specifies the benefits accorded to dependents of temporary work permit holder.

  2. If you are working in Canada you should check with your employer.

The employers provide subsidized health and other social benefits.

Your dependants - depending on what province you are located in could be eligible for provincial day care subsidies  and other educational benefits.

However it depends on the agreement you have with your employer so check that out first before you bring over your dependants.

    Good  Luck

  3. I can only speak for Ontario. If your valid work permit is for Ontario, your children will qualify for full health benefits (precluding pre existing conditions of course).

They will also qualify for free education up to grade 12 in either the publc or separate school board. They will be treated as citizens in all aspects of the law.

    Welcome to Canada.

    Enjoy.

  4. I would check the validity above the above answers with a more credible source.  You need to be paying taxes to be eligible for the resources afforded to Canadian residents.
